Just curious what kind of stepping/footwork patterns your system teaches in terms of offensive/defensive movement. By that I mean more of a signature footwork.

For example, fma often uses the male and female trianlge, some use the box pattern, kosho ryu kenpo uses the octagon for escapes, the silat I practice uses circular and linear stepping with tight 45 sectoring being more common, good boxing uses the falling step to help generate power, jujitsu uses tai sabaki.....what examples do you use in training.

half circles and J-stepping for SPM, some J-stepping in WC as well.

We have something called the monkey box.
it's use for flanking and turning.
low line kicks to knee, shin, ankle etc will often
shoot out from or as the actual step to off balance.

Im a big fan of Falling step and triangles/45 degree silat stuff.

I also have the thai switch kick going on.

...and pendulum step for big range changes... not to mention hopping.
