Many people (Muay Thai and non) knew or heard about him. Just letting those people know what happened. I used to watch him on ESPN 2, he was an awesome fighter. Apparently he was shot and killed chasing a man that ran from a hit and run. Hopefully they catch the guy. RIP Alex Gong. My prayers go out to his family.

That's awful. I only saw one of his fights, but his skill and dedication to his art was apparent. What a tragedy.

i don't know, but alex was a fantastic guy. friendly to no end and skilled beyond skill. he was a great teacher and was helpful to everyone, regardless of ability or experience.

he will be missed. rest in peace. :o
