View Full Version : fighting and misconception

There's been a lot of discussion recently about people who fight, and those who don't and the misconceptions they have. That reminded me of a verse from a song that I heard some years ago:

I used to think that I was hard
The kind of kid you don't wanna mess wit'
I'll fight you and your bodyguard
I was illeterate, but talkin' gibberish
And never considerate of the way I treated friends
I would fight ten kids and I would fly all heads
I would even fight dragons 'til they'd be dead
I would presidents and the man you bet
But it's just too bad because I ain't fought yet
You see I took a slug at no one
But if I did, I would have to show one
That I was like, able to wreck it
I thought I knew but I didn't know
That all the talk in the world doesn't make you a pro
And so, comes my first real fight in the hood
I would bash a skull, if I could
But that's when this kid wrecked my world, swept my feet up
Straight got ill and I was nearly killed
It never crossed my mind

swept his feet up? I think he fought a bjj guy ;) :D

What else is left to do here, besides throwing insults at each other.

Recently there have been few really interesting threads, the bickering and name calling is at an all-time high, the *****ing and moaning about the forums moderation is also reaching new peaks.

Look at the recent spade of trolls that came on here and you will see that on-topic or off-topic posts equally will be invaded by them.

Cheers.

with the exception of sensitivity drills. chi sau, hubud and the like are just martial applications of patty-cake.

Well you know all you need to do is chisau. If you do that enough you will be practically unstoppable.
