Well I might be a little early, but I had to be the first to say it! Happy birthday! :D

I also have a question, and to take some on topic here, do you practice kung fu? If so what style? I really am curious about this because most of the other people here practice it.

Nice attempt at trying to keep this from getting deleted! I don't think it'll work though.. well maybe, since it's margie...

to keep it on topic though

Actually 7* I really was curious if she practiced any style of martial arts, Ive been meaning to ask her and so I thought I'd post it here. Gene does Shaolin, as does Kung Lek if I remember. Im curious what mods practice what, etc.

And I do Wing Chun.

gene - shaolin, hung gar (I think)

rtb - wing tsun, muay thai, kali

7* - shuai chiao, bjj, judo, mt

btl - bei tang lang?

I have no clue about the others...

PHILBERT

RTB also does latosa escrima

BTL does 7* Mantis. Him and I have the same Sifu, I haven't met him yet however.

Sandman and I also have the same Sifu (So me, BTL, and Sandman all train at the same place). I know Sandman of course, I met him my first class. I even asked my Sifu which one was Sandman. So Sandman is Wing Chun.

See, Margie doesn't exactly have anything in her profile on martial arts, so thats why I wondered if she did anything at all.

Ive actually considered, only considered mind you, asking if I could moderate a forum. I dunno if Id be allowed, I do after all occasionally do an immature post :p. I'd probably want to moderate the internal forum though.

...and she doens't practice, although I've been trying to convince her to do so. Nothing makes the body more shapely than kung fu practice. ;)

Also, in answer to your questions, I've trained in Bak Sil Lum and Songshan Shaolin. I've not really trained in Hung Gar, just dabbled in a few sets, but I wouldn't say that I know it at all. I've dabble in a lot - mantis, cha, zuiquan, wushu, judo, kendo, fencing - most of which I only did enough to get a taste. Lately I've been studying Xingyi exclusively, but my practice has been really slack. Working so hard to bring you all a good magazine and website has cost me my practice. :( OK, that's just an excuse. I wish it was that simple. But FWIW, my practice has been rather poor lately...

Well I use to work at a restaraunt that served alcohol, I suppose I could go in there and get the hook up with one of my coworkers. Besides I dont want beer, I want a martini or some kind of exotic type drink.

But I'm an honest person.

And like I said, I could go to Cheddar's and ask my former coworkers to sell me alcohol. I know they would too, they've done it for others who were underage. Just that I can't, honesty and all. And knowing my luck I'd get pulled over by a cop right after I leave.

Can't buy beer till 21? Jeez, that sucks.

How old do you have to be to buy a gun?

rubthebuddha
08-06-2003, 10:19 PM
8

PHILBERT
08-06-2003, 10:20 PM
With U.S. laws on guns, you would think it were 8. It is actually 18 for rifles/shot guns and 21 for hand guns.

Yung Apprentice
08-06-2003, 10:24 PM
Thats true for the most part. There is a loophole, however, some can be 18 and own a handgun. Someone under the age of 21 can not buy a handgun, from a liscenced dealer, but they can buy from a private owner, and legally register it in their names. But then, that might be easier or harder to do, depending on the state. In my state it can be done.

PHILBERT
08-06-2003, 10:40 PM
In my state you can buy a gun at your local 7-11, thank you Dubya.*

*Sarcasm.

So they reckon that you can be responsible enough to own a gun at 18, yet you have to wait until you're 21 to buy a beer?

Man, America is weird. Scary weird.

You americans are odd

I mean, even Xebby (the slow-like-death sucka - bangs nobody) buys alkyhol since 14 and first got drunk at 15

I also dont understand how some of you refer to a dude that is doing a 17 year old wimmin as "pedophile". For christs sake man, a 17 year old chick is full grown and she knows what shes doin, whats the big deal?!?

odd americans

Man, America is weird. Scary weird.

You can buy tobacco, porn, lotto and legally gamble and hell, even die for your country at 18, but you can't buy alcohol.

The sweet woman I'm trying to hook up with is 17, and I'm almost 20. She turns 18 in December though. I don't see what the deal is, sure if the guy is like 30 and the girl is 17 that might seem a little odd.

rubthebuddha
08-07-2003, 10:59 AM
xebby, if you saw the quality of 17-year-old girls in this country and just how smArt they actually are, you'd agree that such laws make perfect sense. most teenagers are incredibly naive and the idea of lessening the restrictions in this country in regard to age is frightening.

16 is legal age of consent in my country, ..i heard that mexico is 14 wtf? anyway legal drinking age is supposedly 18 here...buuut we all know theres no such thing as a legal drinking age here .
