the striking guy needed gloves to protect the other guy. the grappler doesn't use gloves cuz he needed hands to well...grapple. Grabing the other guy and all that.

Gloves don't protect the other guy from your punches they prevent you from breaking your fists/wrist when hitting things like the head.

the grappler forgot that he could hit back as well. but i think that in thier warped little minds it was about just grappling against just striking. haha well if it is gonna be that way all the time then boy am i relieved:rolleyes:

Those particular gloves were extremely padded. I'd rather get hit by those gloves than a bare fist any day.

Given that the grappler did not have gloves on, I suspect that they agreed that one would use striking only while the other used grappling only.

Ultimately, the grappler was silly in his approach. Give him his dues tho - he took some heavy hits.

ROFLMFAO yeah right. first of all when you grapple you gotta do something more than just hug the guys waist. i mean he didnt try to even lift the guy off the ground to slam him or to at least graplle the guys arms and take him down NOR id he do anything that would indicate that he had ANY grappling proficiancy. hey i mean i am no expert but i know when it is borderline gay porn and when it is a grappling vs striking fight.

Oh lordy, that was some funny shiat. I love the fact that it's just some dude's living room! The striker guy just kept clocking the other one, but it took ages for him to finally get that one decent strike in to stun the guy.

I guess that's proof that a crap striker versus a crap grappler will go the striker's way 9 times out of 10 purely due to the law of averages.

i mean, i know it wasn't a real fight, but it was nowhere near an accurate depiciton of that. the stiker dude pulled a simple HS wrestlin sprawl(obviously wieghed more than the grappler kid), and after that weight sunk a bit, he jus gave him a few strikes for fun. i will say this, that striker looks like he could've hit that guy hard if he really wanted to, so that kid was lucky the striker was so nice about it. but he gave him jus enough to let'em know he was there. anyone can take punches like that (i wouldn't advise it though), but i'd hate to get hit by the striker dude w/o gloves a few times, he sure had some heavy hands. honestly, i think most people don't hit the heavy bag enough(among other things) to develop the power and root to be able to level someone anyways(even if it takes 2-3 hits). rather, people seem compelled to expended many times more energy and time w/ 10-20 (or more!) less than half-@$$ hits in hopes that one of them might have the power to do some damage. pathetic... although, entertainin! :D

12 oz boxing gloves are certainly to protect the other guy's head. UFC/pride type gloves are to protect your hand. Neither do squat for your wrist if you don't tape up ... thus my torn carpel tunnel :(
