I think it's possible that music can be helpful for healing, but to what extent I am unsure. I am aware that it can also cause adverse effects.

anyhow one aspect of mantras as i know it is using frequency to connect to higher consciousness. there is a theory about alpha beta delta and gamma waves and how they affect the human brain. and also the underlying nature of sound in the universe.

maybe someone more qualified could explain this.

"oh and as for the cd.s it looks at first glance as a cheap commercial ploy. however maybe looks are decieving."

Cheap commercial ploy...my thoughts,if not exactly.

"anyhow one aspect of mantras as i know it is using frequency to connect to higher consciousness. there is a theory about alpha beta delta and gamma waves and how they affect the human brain. and also the underlying nature of sound in the universe."

I get the feeling that you´re mixing science with (nature unknown).Since I can err,can you provide some reference?

"I think it's possible that music can be helpful for healing, but to what extent I am unsure. I am aware that it can also cause adverse effects.
"

What about adverse effects?

"my thoughts."

Thanks.

A persons personal preference for music is what would give the music healing qualities.

Some things can be counter productive.

I've had a superficial look at this site and it has not got a lot to do with TCM. It says about curing life long problems in 35 minutes which is rubbish. Western or Chinese medicine would rightly claim that chronic conditions can take a while to recallibrate but this claims, aswell as being the most effective treatment around, to do it in half an hour??? Rubbish.

Music can have a theraputic effect and aid recovery even and many other conditions in its effect upon the nervous system, but the claims here are bogus.

Like I said, Looks like a cheap commercial ploy.
However ,as with all things, there are different attributes, both d@mning and redeeming. In this case , it might very well be a get rich fast scheme, conning the neive new age crowd ,(which I think it is), But ,it is possible that the product itself might contain on some rudimentary level ,music that stimulates some kind of positive effect,... even if that effect is not worth mentioning , OR worth that retail price for that matter.

"But ,it is possible that the product itself might contain on some rudimentary level ,music that stimulates some kind of positive effect,... even if that effect is not worth mentioning , OR worth that retail price for that matter"

And even then,it all comes down to what one finds positive, which is a problem itself.

Aaah....about that url..

I think I've left it in Australia, but if you're sincerely interested I'm sure I've posted it before. Makes a good read for expanding understanding. For anyone else interested, I did in my vigilant dedication to kung fu mag forums, come up with something else someone may or may not be interested in. It's reguarding nlp (nuero linguistic programming) and well worth checking out for anyone who isnt already aware. It increases learning speed and style to some crazy excellorated levels and info can be found at www.universalevents.com.au

Yooou seriously want to master grand masters, then this is your key....

check it out

;) ;)
