Two questions:

1. What's your favorite MMA glove?

2. Where can I get the Xing (I guess that's the brand name) gloves like they used in Pride?

Harbingers...

remove the bar on the palm, (its easy) and they are awesome..also you can fasten them loosely on the wrists if you prefer and they will still stay on. The filling stays in place and the leather takes a lot of wear and tear. I think they are sold as bag gloves.

i THINK X-ing is just an advertisement... rather than a brand like fairtex or mexico... but dont take my word for it...

I myself like Century's Exclusive Mixed Martial Arts Training Glove (http://www.centuryfitness.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&productId=10372&langId=-1&product_parentId=13520&crumb=13501-13519&categoryId=13520&parent_category_rn=13523)

I got mine at my local supply shop for $30, fits great, very comfy, effective, and looks cool in grey. If Tiger Claw made one, I'd buy one from them though.

I also own a generic brand, got it for $30, vinyl glove, all black. Not as tight as Century's glove, but it feels weird forming the first as compared to Century's glove.

Edit:

Scratch that, this looks like a nice glove here. The Tiger's Claw (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/10x030.html).

Also, they got a pair of JuJutsu gloves (http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsmart/10x300.html) for sale. Also look nice. Much more cushion that Century's glove.

Seconding the Harbinger recomendation.

Great gloves, nice fit and feel good on.

I wouldn't recommend the TC2000 glove. it's ok for slapping around but that's about it.

Im with philbert, Ive got a pair of those, but their black and sold as bag gloves cause they have the punch bar in the middle. I plan on taking that out when I get home tonight however...

The ones I bought never had that punch bar in the middle, which is the main reason why I bought it was for that exposed palm. Also cause it looks cooler than the leather one they sell. :D

When I got those, the lady only had them in grey, which is fine by me (though I might have been interested in trying out orange or blue, maybe I'll go buy another pair later). She also had the leather ones for $40 there, but I didn't really like them as much as the $30 pair.

Mine cost 40, but I like them just fine. :)

Got a pair of the Harbingers about 6 months ago. Pretty comfortable and so far they are wearing well.

I thought Harbinger only made weight lifting gloves.

Here you go Ironfist. Check 'em out. They rate well on some of the sites that cross compare the various MMA brands as well. Sorry about the crappy link, it was one of the first google links that came up with a pic.

Looks heavy duty.

I probably wouldn't use it tho, cuz it has wrist support, and if you read my rant in the other thread I don't want to become dependent on artificial support for anything.

Thanks for the link.

Ironfist..that is why they are cool, you dont have to use the wrist support. In my ~10 years of doing heavy bag work I have never used wraps, or supported gloves at all. you can very loosely fasten the straps and then you have a totaly unsupported glove with enough protection to even work repeated uppercuts on a very hard bag without tearing holes in your hand, and you can still have the wrist mobility to do palm strikes or any type of hand work you want to do with a partner as well.
