The ranting article aside I thought the pics on this muat thai site were good. In specific the older black and white pics that showcase the handwraps. Plus there is some info on the military style of muay thai called ler drit to be found. It also stated that in bangkok thai rules allow throws and it shows a scissors style takedown.

That's a cool site. I used to exchange emails with the webmater back in like 98 when I first started muay thai. The url was different back then though.

Unless you get thrown hard and land like ol' dude in the picture. Then you have a broken elbow or dislocated shoulder.
