It's this bit that gives me the shivers:

The technology can also “realize your dreams,” he says. “How about projecting the outside landscape on the walls of a windowless room? You can have your own virtual window.” Soon it may be harder than ever to know what’s real and what isn’t.

I read an article about this several months back. Matter of factly, I think I posted it here. Anyhoo, it had a pic of a guy wearing the cloak - you could see right through his body.

The cape only works if you look at it straight forward. If you look in a angle it doesn't work. It's coz they have cameras that reflects whats behind the person and project it on the front, creating this illusion. In a few years this might be more effective but now it can't really be used.

The achievement is not so much in the projection, but in the fabric upon which the image is projected.

Yes, they are still a loong way from one that can be used for practical application, but the first step is done towards the goal.

The story first showed up on CNN.com. You can probably run a search on it there. It had one picture that Seven Star mentioned.

I dunno, there IS a picture there, just can't tell if it is a cloak or just an illusion.

No Illusion & no photoshop done, I saw TV-footage of it.

Looked impressive, like I said the technology is still in it's infancy.

I've seen more pics of it in a newspaper. It's no illusion, cool stuff
