is a variant on an old process by which tequila is made. See when the spanish came to mexico and was screwing everything up, one ot the things they screwed up was the aztecs old alchoholic drink called "Poaque"(i think thats the name).
well later on the spanish found thier own way of distilling the blue agave cactus juice and called thier drink Tequila.

Now Mezcal is by far a purer and more traditional way of making the old aztec drink. there are some fine mezcals on the market and let me tell you that is is some of the best booze you will ever get drunk and throw up to. hehe.

you can recognize Mezcal because it has the worm in the bottle and they put the worm in for spiritual reasons as the agave worm only exists on the agave cactus and the cactus is rumored to have psychotropic properties.

So kids, go on out and buy yourself a bottle of "Monte' Alban Mezcal" and have fun and drink responsably.;)
