I think he means pole shaking. As in the double punch/pole drop exercise. Of course, I'm not there yet so I don't have anything more to contribute.

Sorry, the spelling could be off. Yes, "dung gwun" is a Cantonese term for most people called it and/or implied to "pole shaking". To me it is not exactly shaking the pole. It is more of vibrating the pole using the energy(gain) from ones dian tien(place little below your navel).

I think what you are calling Dung is what we call Dahng.


Dahng is Hammering


We have this with the hands as well as the pole. You dont need to do many. Its all about cooridinating your body to send energy out.
