i saw some pride fights featuring kazsushi sakuraba facing hoyce gracie and his brothers...whats interesting in this fight is that hoyce who was once considered one of the finest grapplers in the world in my opinion got defeated by sakurabas round house kicks to his left thigh...ie...striking vs grappling...and also sakuraba employed some very unorthodox grappling moves against hoyce attempting to get into the crab...hoyce and his other brother who both lost to sakuraba looked like crabs on their backs...i mean really who wants to fight someone on the street who is is a striker standing up while they are lying on their back?

Sakaraba is just really good.
Do you know if Renzo is fighting him or if he already did?

Sak already fought Renzo - - dislocated Renzo's arm with a Kimura/arm lock - - the key to Sak's success is great grappling skills (this, i think, is sak's greatest skill) and some decent striking, as well as being unpredictable/clowning to keep his opponent confused... Didn't work so well on Wanderlai Silva, though, who clearly dominated the striking game and brutally kicked sak in the head when he turtled and went for the ankle takedown - - Style alone doesn't make the fight - - on any given day, Royce could win, too

Yeah me to...if his stiking skill was as good as his grappling skill he would have beaten silva standing up!

Now thats just saying he has **** good grappling abilities...
