Shuai Chiao from 1:00 to 2:30 or 2:45, then over to Da Harbor for Muay Thai from 3:00 - 5:00. We're going into psycho mode from now on, so be ready! :D

Dude, stop jacking. You'll get nothing but hairy palms.

hmmmm. Is there no conditioning in the Muy Thai class? 'Cause I'll have trouble keeping up with what you described, much less go to another class afterwards that's heavy on conditioning.

Water Dragon

Oh no, we're gonna do the Muay Thai conditioning too! :D

Fighting is 90 % conditioning.

FJ, you're gonna need to talk to Miguel and see what type of arrangement you can come up with him. Cri and I are gonna shell out the $ 40.00, but we're planning on training with him for 2-3 days a week. I have no say-so over how those classes are run.

Maybe I'll just watch the first time, go over and meet the guy. He might let me take a class for 10 bucks or something.

BTW, there's no need for all of those crunches - I have a better ab exercise for you. Or we could just up the BJJ - style guard situps. Abs are like any other muscle, they do not need alot of reps.

You should see the BJJ guys I took the ab work from. I went to play with them on Monday, and the ab work was: 500 crunches, 75 reverse crunches, 250 back ups (lie on your belly and arch your back up) 4 1 minute rounds of holding your legs out 3 inches above the ground and making swimming motions and 20 guard sit ups if you could hacke them. We're only doing about 1/3 of what they do, but we'll make up for it when we work our legs! :D

Fa_jing,

I doubt I'll be able to get through the whole thing this week, too. But that's half the masochistic fun. You do until you puke, then you do it again. By the time March rolls around, this will seem like a breeze, I hope. ;)

Ah, the fun of getting back into ring shape. :D BTW-- what's this ab excercize of which you speak? Are you going to show it to us tomorrow or...?

You'll be cool Crip. It'll just be a much longer version of last night. So don't gewt too fukked up tonight ;)

Just keep up as best as you can. Falling behind is OK. Giving up is not.

Gonna be as sober as a priest on Sunday, tonight. ;) Got an article to start and my workout to do. Gonna stretch out and get a good night's rest.

Besides, I gotta prove that we youngins can hang with the old dogs. ;)

Yenhoi, that's a falling drill, designed to get you comfortable with falling from moving and to get back to your feet quickly. It's not a backflip, but a torque to the side, if I'm thinking of the right drill.

re: abs --- 1. Janda situps 2. Extended range crunches/situps with a rolled up towel under your lower back, or your hands one on top of the other. 3. "Evil" wheel - just picked one up at Target for 8 bucks. 4. Hanging leg raises, lift feet all the way to the bar.

Sorry I bailed out, I'll be there next weekend. I'm looking forward to checking out the MT class, as well as our practice. How does Miguel feel out new people sparring? I'm kinda itching for some action.

Good to hear the news about the new spot too, WD.

No muay thai here, but we beat each other senseless anyhoo.
;)
Is nice having a good spot to throw down. Ive been slacking on my training for the last week and a half tho... Better get back into things.

Best advise I can give you is, work your calves (mine are screaming right now) your belt cracks, and run. 2 -2 hour workouts can get pretty intense, it's a lot of fun though.

What did you do to make your calves sore? Thats the ONE thing I havent had hurt since I started SC.
I plan on getting some 45 lb plates this week and building a sled for sprints...
