My left hand has been partially paralyzed since birth, the most serious drawback being an inability to make a fist.

Can anyone recommend a style which emphasizes a more open palm technique or which favors leg techniques? (Grappling techniques would be rather difficult as well.)

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey bud,

Your best bet is to find a style you like and fit it to your body. One of the best brazilian jiu-jitsu (heavy grappling art) practitioners on the planet today was born with a deformed hand that makes gripping difficult and a predecessor of his was born with only 1 fully functioning leg. Just go balls out at whatever you do and you will do as good as anybody else.

Listen to Ford Perfect. You can make adjustments.

Also don't forget about elbows and wrap around throws that are performed with the crook of the elbow.
