Looking for opinion on this guy's spinal movement

I saw this clip and was wondering what these spinal movements are for.

Anyone cares to comment of these spinal movement in regard to 4 principles (sink/float/spit/swallow)?

For those of you who can't see it, it's an okinawan karate master doing one of his kata and does a lot of spinal movement at the end.

oh well.

Looks pretty good. You can see the guy is using whole body movement in his movement.

The end movements look like he is drawing "enery" back to his dan tien.

This looks alot like some southern styles of kung fu actually.
