We can right done all the ones we now, but really the ones we have modified, so that we can understand. We can correct each other. I will begining:

On Sung:

The wrist should be connected to that Tan Tein and the Center by sinking tension, which should move from you root.

Try connecting each external movement from the internal center.

Walk like a dragon.
sit like a tiger.
stare like a monkey.
flip like a phoenix.
glide like a snake.

these are a rough draft of the bagua classics on how to move in bagua and the mindset.

walking like a dragon implies that when you move you are allowing your inner self to walk the circle.

Sit like a tiger is more of the posture when walking the circle, your legs are springy and you are almost sitting as you walk(not literally but low enough to where you are creating decent resistance to your legs to build strength) the movement in combat is much higher in stance.

stare like a monkey is the way you focus on the target which in bagua you are staring at the hands as the move and flip. kind of a focused look,,staring stright ahead and following your had movement.

flip like a phoenix relates to the hands and arms when doing the palm changes, you flip them like the wing of a phoenix, they are fast and supple.

glide like a snake relates to the way you are stepping which in this case is how i like to step in bagua, the snake stepping. you are moving fast almost like gliding across the ground, when you do connect with the ground you are rooted and stable when you start to step you glide your step.

anyway these are my views on those classics.

great thread Dre.

How about the Xing Yi postural basics:
Tiger's head
Bear's shoulders
Dragon's body
Chicken's leg

There are others that seem to vary from person to person, such as Eagle's claw, Lightning step, Tiger's embrace...

The modern classic
"If you aren't applying yi jing and yin and yang, all you are doing is exercise"
Cheng Man Ching

"taijiquan has to be collision ready" my sifu

"there are no extremes in taiji" Huang Xing Xian

dantian is the heart of the bodies motion

"if you use 15% muscle for motion, try to make it 5%"

Greetings..

Back perpendicular to the ground....

Elbow below wrist...

Relax and return to center... (escaping QiNa)

Don't engage the Trapezoids....

Root (feet and legs) supply power, DanTien (hips and waist.. yes, i know where the DanTien is) direct the power, arms and hands express the power... all in a fluid whipping motion..

Relaxed vision sees intention...

"be the ball"...

when you have finished practicing... practice some more..

Peng is the "mainspring" that makes our "watch" work, it should be evident in each movement...

Understand the "theory of circles"...

Repetition is our friend...

Do not ignore physics or anatomy...

You are what you choose to be.. your choices are evident in your deeds...

Learn to use yin and yang, apply to every area of life. Respond appropriatly to all situations.

Learn from mistakes.

It is what it is.

don't be so dam distracted
Does it matter so much that I need to think about it during practice?
Did I take care of everything before practice?
these are my thoughts.

Let go

whatever it is, it will pass (good bad or indifferent)

nothing is permanent

let go

don't cling

let go

practice, improve, take it easy

all of this is much easier said than done.

Sink your wrist and the rest of your joints into the Dantain, so you only have one joint.

Root energy in the feet and chi from the Dantain to the Ground, push up it up through the knees, and any natural Direction at the waist,

Up through the back of your spine, to the top of your head, down to your third eye

to your hands through your fingers.
