Does anyone have experience in this art (?)?
If so could you clarify how it differs from other internal martial arts?

Try the spelling Liu Ho Ba Fa...Six Harmonies, Eight Methods. Also known as Water boxing.

I learned a Liu He Ba Fa form from Master Liang Shou Yu 5 years ago when he had the seminar at my school. It contains the elements of Tai Chi, Hsing Yi, and Ba Gua. He didn't show us much bout applications and principles but just the form.

I latered learned bout some alignment and principles on Liu He Ba Fu from Wei Lun Huang a couple years ago. I did my Liu He Ba Fa form for him and Master Huang said I do it with a Ba Gua flavor. He said that whoever I learned it from has a Ba Gua flavor to Liu He Ba Fa. But Master Huang said that Liu He Ba Fa can have whatever "flavor" of whatever other style you specialize in. So for example, if you have Hsing Yi as your core style, your Liu He Ba Fa can have very Hsing Yi flavor. I figured some of the applications of Liu He Ba Fa movements based on my Long Fist and White Crane background (I'm more of an external stylist).

I discussed Liu He Ba Fa with a guy that did some research on the style. From his research and his meetings with other masters, he had concluded that Liu He Ba Fa is the final and end all training after training in all Tai Chi, Hsing Yi and Ba Gua since Liu He Ba Fa contains the elements of all these styles. His conclusion is that Liu He Ba Fa unifies the 3 styles together. I thought that was interesting. But I'm not an internal style expert to really critisize.
