The Wire is superior.

Actually, I don't know that for sure, since I haven't seen Oz, but the word I hear is that the first season rocks, and the rest are all kinda mediocre. The UT library system has S1 on DVD, though, so I'll find out for myself at some point. Both seasons of The Wire rock, though, and HBO is dragging their feet about putting it out on DVD. Fu(kers.

nah, it's due in march or february, I think. Anyway, I don't get hbo so I have to see it on tapes from friends. It's gonna be an extra-long season, I hear - 20 eps, I think. And the last one, too, or so I've heard.
