Are there any kung fu schools in Pasadena that you can recommend? I have a friend who is looking and altho I found one:
www.kungfuusa.com
but since I don't live nearby to check it out, I can't comment on it.
Thanks.

I just spent 7 months living in Glendale, helping do a turn-around (we succeeded). I had hoped to get some time to train, but the work was way too much to handle.
What I saw around didn't seem all that impressive, but I missed a lot.
I beleive Mark Cheng, a Shuai Chiao and Fut ga teacher is in West Hollywood. He's a really good guy.
There's a guy named Su Dong cheng in Montery Park that everybody seems to like.
Perhaps when Count finds this post, he can make a reccomendation.

There are as many kung fu teachers in that area as there are guitar picker's in Nashville. :p I might suggest some but I won't recommend one. Have your friend e-mail me where he's/she's at in his/her training and what he/she is looking for.

I live in Pasadena. There is a eagle claw guy (but he has sashes and I don't believe in rank in CMA), and there is this other kung fu place (it's almost always closed when I walk by so I haven't had the chance to check it out yet) next to this Muay Thai place. I tried signing up for the Muay Thai place but their prices are just ridiculous.
