More Chi!!!

Have you ever been to a Kung Fu tournament where Shi Yan Ming's school is competing there? While one of them is out there on the floor competing in the forms event, a few of the others that's from the school are yelling out loud "MORE CHI!!! MORE CHI!!!" over and over again.

I think I know what they mean, but to heard someone yelling it out, I think it sounds kinda funny, but I had to reframe myself of laughing when I heard them yelling that out.

Just wondering if anyone else ever seen this too at a tournament where Shi Yan Ming's school is competing there. I'm not knocking on his school, but I just think it's funny to hear people yelling "MORE CHI!!!" and it's coming from them.

That's his school's moto: "Train harder. More chi." Not only do they yell it out at tournaments, but they usually adopt it as their personal life philosophy.

Reminds me of the chnat the wushu people say "jia you!" which could be translated as "have gas!" Seriously, I'd rather have chi. Of course, that can be translated as 'gas' too.
