well, i can walk again! so it's time to get back into the gym.

fixing up a new schedule and was wondering if its worth it to do military press with bench in a routine. does bench work the shoulders enough, or should i do some sort of shoulder excersize on a different day?

currently my schedule is looking like:

day 1:
bench, 5x5
weighted pullups, 5x5
cycling/running/elliptical, since i cant do squats/deadlift yet :(

day 2:
military press, 5x5
ab stuff
cycling/running/elliptical

day 3:
cycling/running/elliptical

day 4:
ab stuff
cycling/running/elliptical (or back to day 1 depending on how i feel)

repeat

basically my question is should i have military press in there, or should i take it out. should i have anything else in there?

Do front Military presses, or Dumbell military presses, or Push-presses on the same day as your Bench press after your bench press. Make them an assistance exercise. It's best if you clean the weight to your shoulders and do them standing, with strict form (no leaning back), rather than seated.

Why can't you squat?

oops, I see your legs were hurt, just do the front MP seated then. 3 sets of 5, after a long break after your BP. Move your weighted pullups to the other day.

how long is a long rest?
i usually take 3-5 mins between sets. that kind of long rest or a longer one; like do my ab work or cycling?

Longer, do something else in between like abs or cycling or both.
