It appears to me that unless Yoshi was wearing boxers there is no way that is a groin kick. I guess it could have brushed the testicles though on the way to the thigh. Maybe it was intentional brush to the testicles... don't know

Yes, it looks like his thigh kick went a bit to high. His foot was turned inward.
