How do you guys use the vertical fist? Do you use the bottom three knuckles, or the top two? Why do you use it the way you do?

By teh vertical fist, I mean make a fist, and then hold it such that the thumb is angled upward.

Usually I use a vertical fist to fake, I flinch a fake jab in Muay Thai, because when I use it my arms are very tight close into my body. I will use it as a fake primarily to loosen up my tenseness and, to set up for a vetical upward elbow. The vertical upward elbow is used to break up a grab to beginning kneeing you.

ive always used the top two or three because theyre conditioned for striking and because if you hit with the pinkie you're bending your wrist.

Always the top two knuckles, because they're connected with the forearm's bone structure. The bottom ones are sticking out, so they tend to break more easily.
