Got in my UFC 42 dvd, with the Sudo vs Bang fight on it...
Can you believe that they didn't include the original ring entrance as it was filmed?
I'm hoping it's an easter egg on the dvd or something.
On the extras they have the behind the scenes version, which only shows it from behind and isn't the original.
I mean, when I plunk down 20 or 30 bux on a UFC dvd I expect them to show my favorite fighters coming out in drag.
Shame on Zuffa.

In other news, the Bas Rutten tapes RAWK DA HOUSE and so does Mark Kerr's Smashing Machine- which is pretty dang depressing except for the "please hurt my friend" scene.

I like the idea of pm workouts, especially after like 7:30 or 8, when the crowds die down. Kicking it with the roommate on week nights ain't fun, she assumes if I'm home, I want to listen to her talk; even if she's talking over a movie I'm watching.

I don't like the idea of am workouts, for the pure fact that I can wake up an hour later, put in the same work out (time wise), and get to work at the same time if I workout at the gym near work.

Genki beat Butterbean, but lost to Bang ludwig (old news).
Didn't get my Kabuki entrance, but at least I got some Pete Spratt on tape.

I am still in denial about spinning back fists; but saw what a spinning back kick did to Raphael (OUCH).

When I think of CosPlay I think of dressing up like your favorite anime character. Genki seems like he's making some kind of out there statement with his entrances. Like he's not so hung up on the character he's dressing up as, but more the reaction it gets from the people watching (including his opponent).

Nevertheless, he's gotta be one of the best pure entertainers in the MMA world, if not the best ever.

That's how it generally gets used in the states, but in Japan it just means dressing up like a character from any tv show or movie, animated or otherwise.

yah when i lived in japan, i lived down south in okinawa.
hung out in a ton of book stores (like book box and tsutaya); but never really saw/met any otaku.
now if we were talking about fishing, then maybe I'd know something. :D
