Frozen dinners. Do you have a freezer at work?

Hmm. I eat a can of tuna a day. Dunno if you have them in the UK but we get 100g ones with flavours added so you don't get bored. Today I've got lime, chilli and mint :D. Also dunno about the heavy metals issue. But I like them. I put the tuna in wholemeal bread to make a sandwich. Another one I've considered making is scotch eggs after someone on these boards reminded me of them. Lotsa protein there. I also partake of jerky every now and then but it's expensive for what you get. I wanna learn how to make my own. Also fresh fruits are good. Today it's an apple and a nectarine. Plus a litre of green tea in a thermos. So there you go, there's my lunch today :D. Takes me about 3 min to put together. Whatever you make, it'll generally be a lot cheaper than whatever you would usually buy at a deli or cafe.

buy a foreman grill. When I was a bacchelor, I swore by that thing. I like to cook, but when I was in a hurry, I used that thing - and I was in a hurry most of the time.

Low carb stuff:

might also look through:

But a question: Are you in need of learning how to cook? Its fairly easy... A *very* good cookbook for a single man with no experience doing so is the "chic simple" series [ this one (http://books.kelkoo.co.uk/browse/b/5101/ps_0500016380.html)] which has a companion on tools for a kitchen as well. It is completely no-nonsense.

Iron - unfortunately we dont....i don't think we've even got a microwave. i've resorted to boiling eggs in the work kettle, i don't think anybody's noticed a funny taste in their tea yet :D

Toby - i haven't seen any flavoured cans of tuna about, sounds interesting though. i've started adding more fruit! i had an apple about 10am today, an orange about 4pm and a banana before my workout.

Seven - i've heard alot of people mention the foreman grill....i think i might have to join the crowd. i haven't heard anyone say anything bad about it.

ZIM - thanks for the links. seems like a good book, might have to have a look around for it and have a flick through.

i saw on bodybuilding.com i think it was, which was basically a recipie with just tuna, rice and sweetcorn. thats the sorta thing i think im after. i'll probably find something like that in those links. i'll have another look through when i get a bit more time. aarrggh! i just need more time, i dunno where its all going!!

thanks guys

On the weekends I marinate and cook a bunch of meat it, lightly steam a bunch of vegetables, and cook up some rice. All I have to do is throw it all together in a container and take it to work. Lunch is taken care of for the whole week.
