I want to train with mma gloves to go pretty much full contact but I dont want to split my face open, body shots I could care less about...Ive seen a picture of a lei tai tourement with the cage mask head gear being used..

Yeah they are good but very hot and in my experience slide around alot even when tightened.The plastic cage ones tend to break but are removeable.
Open face headgear is much cooler.The type we use has foam coming up towards the nose like suports but not covering it.It doesn't totally protect the face but covers it enough.Do wear some sort of Head gear,not for the face but for the Brain.
