Why/how did i just get a text message on my mobile phone using my credit saying someone had replied to my thread, i have never allowed anyone to do this

Does your phone automatically check your email?

Click "User Control Panel" at the top of the page.

Click "Edit Options"

Set "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" to NO

Click "Submit Modifications"

...Go to the thread in question.

Edit one of your posts and make sure the "Email Notification" box is unchecked.

Click "Submit"
