hi boys and girls

just thought i share pics of me, my kids(4 & 6) and some of my training set up and gear.

i hope these work, as i tried to do it last night but failed. i also wrote a list of some of what i have but i can't really be bothered doing it all again, so if you have any questions about stuff you see in them don't be afraid to ask.

i look foward to hearing what you all think of my lil' old torture yard.

Nice. Good to see the hills hoist :D. You use exercise bikes as racks for your benchpress? (pic 0534 :p).

Lol - my boys have to have a go at pullups every time I exercise, too.

no, the pic. 0535 shows my squat come bench come indoor chin rack. the bench just moves in and out.

BTW that rack cost me less than $100aus to build and if you notice the elastic cord running inside it, well that is my own little touch to help with chins( i used to not even be able to 1, but that is now a thing of the past)

I was being facetious :p. Obviously my humour sucks :(. Congrats on your boy - he's the spitting image of you. Gotta be happy with that.

Re the rack - steel's cheap in Newcastle, eh? (another paltry attempt at humour).

sorry toby, i thought you must have been losing it rather than joking, but that's OK cause i know i've definitely already lost it.

inic, actually i own a compound bow and 8 odd swords(not to mention more knives than i could count)

i also used to own a really cool compound crossbow, silenced .22 pistol, a few asorted semi-auto .22 rifles, a barretta semi-auto shotgun, a pump action shotty and a few other beefed up toys but seeing as though they're all illegal here now and i am such a good boy:eek: i got rid of them all:D

iron, it's the kids boxing toy to help with their hand eye co-ordination and the like, well, that and fun for them to just beat the $hit out of.

Sweet set up. I still need weights and kettlebells and a pilates ball.

Is that a makiwara on the wall with the guy on it? Doesnt it cause hell trying to hit that thing on an aluminum wall? (if it is makiwara)?

Very cute kids or little rascals (depending on how you look at them)! Their eyes have a very strong resemblance of their Ving Tsun Daddy! They must be your little Ving Tsun terrors in the neighborhood!

Best wishes,

PH

thanx to all of you for the kind words, especially the ones about my kids, and sorry for making some of you jealous. i can however assure you that this was not an overnight project, it has taken some 12 years ( and to answer your question serpant) more money than i even care to try and think about to get it to this stage.

i was lucky to have been single and childless for long enough to spoil myself on a lot of it for a few years though.

ford, to answer your question, yes some of them are homemade from steel bearings, used in ore crushers, as well as concrete to make my larger ones as KB's were not available over here when i started using them, i was lucky enough that 1 turned out at 17kgs and the other at about 23.5.

the really small ones weigh just over 2 kgs and were made as my chrissy presents for the kids and the sucker i've got racked is one of my 40 kg cast ones.

i now have them cast at a foundry and with any luck(sorry for this delay ka) should have all my sizes finalised and ready for sale within a month.

for ka(or any other aussie who has seen my past posts on this) if you're reading this there was a time there at the end of last year when we had a heap of rain which meant they couldn't cast for 2 weeks as the out the back of the foundry where they do it got flooded, then there was a problem with the handles on the pattern which needed slightly adjusting as well as some minor wieght adjustment left to make.

guess what, then they closed for christmas and after all that the guy who's doin' my patterns went to visit his fater in tassie for 2 weeks.

so once a again i must say sorry.

as for the steel indian clubs and metal parralettes, can you e-mail me at vingtsunstudent@bigpond.com and i'll give you the low down on some exciting news i have about these and some other really cool things.

any other aussies who would like to know my prices for these babies, 16, 24, 32 & 40 KGer's( i can also have 12's made from bearings ie they'll be all steel rather than cast iron) can also e-mail me. please just put aussie KB prices as the subject so i know where you're coming from and that it ain't just more junk mail.

I'm sorta interested but I'm afraid postage to Perth would be too much :(.

vingtsunstudent

toby

i know that the post office allows up to 20 kegs, so the 16's could be sent that way. any other sizes would have to go by freight, if you like i could find out how much it is and let you know anyways.

Thanks vts. I'll wait a bit and do some research into KB's. Heard a lot about them, but haven't seen any routines etc so I'm basically uninformed. I'll e-mail you to get the prices anyway.
