Anyone know where to find one of these (http://www.nnrs.org/cyq.htm) taiji spheres for sale?

They look about the same size as a bowling ball. How much do they weigh? A bowling ball is probably too heavy.

They are supposed to weigh about 30 lbs, I think. The heaviest bowling ball is only 16 lbs.

And some have another small ball or something inside that makes cool sounds when you roll it around. Do they make ben-wah balls for elephants?

...not bowling balls. For 30 lb. stone balls, try www.atomicathletic.com 517-540-1040 - ask for Roger and tell him Gene from Kung Fu Tai Chi Magazine sent you. ;)

He asks $99 for the 30 lb, $119 for the 60 lb.

Hmmm. They look a bit rough. Not to mention a little more than I wanted to spend. !I really have my heart set on the jingly metal ones anyway. I think I just buy an old bowling ball for now.

...but you'll want to work up to real stone eventually. And rough is part of it.

I thought cowboys liked it rough. ;)
