Would you please change the yellow color of the forum? It seems to be giving some of the regulars (a term that is suddenly acquiring a double meaning) the wrong idea.

Also, how about some Depends ads in the banner space?

i can't think of any practical reason to go with yellow, so i'm guessing the big boss (Gigi) simply said "yellow," and that was that.

or it could be because it matches the yellow in the magazine name logo thingymabob. heaven forbid a martial arts website to actually have color coordination. :D

edit: admittedly, the yellow is a bit ... yellow. a nice sea green would be superb. or that off-turquoise inside the yellow outline in the logo thingymabob.

Chinese love yellow. It reminds us of gold. We love red more, but red would be a really harsh color scheme for the forum (and I know all you metros would adjust your screen setting to make it pink - and that's just not right). The yellow is color coordinated with our logo, but we could have easily changed the logo, so that wasn't the main motivating factor. It was more about feng shui. Told you I'm sticking to it. Feng shui is the answer to everything.

I am with Gene on this one.
Yellow is a good colour to represent anything chinese

However, gene, we need some red !!. Even just thin lines or something. How can it be a Kung Fu forum without the yellow-red combination ? Those colours allows this forum to show its chinese nature in its totality

Edit: Maybe we can change the profile/pm/search/buddy buttons to a soft red ?? Red on yellow background, now thats awfully Chinesy

We did experiment with color combinations when we went to the new forum - keep in mind that this is all templated, so there's a limited range of what we can do. For the most part, adding whistles and bells made it harder on the eye. Given that the forum is text driven, that's contrary to our purpose. Red is an exceedling hard color to work with since it's on the end of the spectrum. Also keep in mind that everyone's screen settings are different, as well as their provider, so the forum looks different on different computers. Simplicity is the way to go.
