How do you guys use this weapon?

I use it for dao training, but I have not seen another school make specific use of it.

Check out the movie "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon." There's a great scene in their where Michelle Yeoh is using it against a Jian.
Personally, I think the Jian would have won by a landslide.
