Some good t-mag articles recently, if you haven't already caught up with them.
Great overview of Nutrition Theory in this article

Good Squat article

Some nice squat stuff. My legs'd be hurting after some of those exercises I guess.
Nutrition stuff is interesting too. I've pretty much resigned myself to buying protein powder. I can't imagine how expensive it must be to (like the article) eat 300g of protein a day, especially when he lists the different servings with 50g of protein.

It's expensive if you buy your protein at GNC. It's not so bad if you buy it from like dpsnutrition.com or some similar store.

I go through approx same amount daily( protein shakes, milks, ocassional poultry, fish etc)
You're in Australia right? Aussie bodies protein is good ( available at woolworths $22/25 ish500gm) and I some times do redback ( $50 ish 750gm). It costs me about $50-75 ish a week but if you're doing that much protein you really wanna break it down with lemon juice, quality carb and like 100ml of a red wine ( like cab sauv...won't get you pis*ed but it definately helps...also good for warding off prostrate cancer ;) )

Wow! You guys pay crazy prices. Most I'll pay is $30 US for 5 lbs/2+ kilograms.
Here's where I'm gunna go through. I'm thinking of buying 40kg  of protein because I want their WPC and CC and I can't ignore the money you save buying bulk:

Looks like good stuff, but then again I'm an ignoramus when it comes to supplements, so set me right if it looks funny.
These guys used to be very well priced(don't use them anymore) and they are a Aussie company.
Their Whey Pro mixes(Mu4) are good value.

Why buy protein powder when you can down **** Milk and eggs?
Anyhow, I do have a question. A friend of mine is trying to get big, what foods and weights would you guys recommend?
'Cause I spend a fortune on meat, milk and eggs at the moment. Protein powder means more protein for less money.

That education of a powerlifter article is pretty **** good. I just like the line "You can't become what you're in awe of." Applicable to MA too.

dude...if you're getting a pack that big, also get a really small size of the same because if it tastes bad, and you're doing bulk, you don't want to be stuck with it....also make sure you can get a refund if you're not happy...there's committment to diet and then there's just plain ol suffering...ya know ;)
Lol! Yeah, I know. It's just so **** cheap by bulk and so expensive in small quantities. I will probably get some sample packs first. There's a forum in their sister site and a few recipes there. Easiest sounds like water + protein + Cottees diet chocolate flavouring. I've got a Bamix, so mixing isn't a problem like it is for some people on their forum.

I pay around $38 shipped for 10lbs of N-Large :)
But that's a weight gainer, not just protein.

N-Large is great stuff.

Here's my N-Large advice:
Buy "vanilla" flavor, and then mix it in a blender with water, ICE, and 2 frozen strawberries per scoop of N-Large. You won't be able to mix it with a spoon, and it tastes nasty without the strawberries.
I heard the preflavored kinds are nasty, too.

Oh yeah, also, like an hour or two after I finish an N-Large shake I get SO hungry. Must be a blood sugar thing.
Just so you know.

mm hmm....I understand...
I wouldn't mind an extra boost but 86gm of carbs is pretty crazy...because I'm so tiny I think I'll half or third it and split in to smaller portions through the day..but I think I'm pretty sold
cheers;)
