i think it was a poorly pulled quote, but i don't think it's racist. it might sound off color, but i think he's just pointing out that it's one of the first non-minorities that have had a big case like this. in a wierd way, maybe he's also giving the police force a thumbs up for not being racist, but cockmongers in general.
