I saw a book at work today about Humanoid Robots. It had a link in it...this is what it lead to...

The book seemed a little farfetched and presented it as a roadside superhero. I can't really tell if its a hoax since I can't see the video.

Doubt it's related to Transformers, since Transformers takes place on another world (Cybertron) and comes to Earth.

Quiet possible to do so at home, biggest challenge would be the financial side, space and debugging.

Looks like he used knowhow and ideas from existing projects across the globe.

Had a look at the Robots that Honda used/build over 14yrs to get to the Asimo Robot, the P2 & P3 were the first ones to be shown publicly.

FYI, I am sitting about 20metres away from my Companies Asimo, when it comes to humanoid robots Japan still rules.

The toy robot market in Japan is incredible( Pino, Aibo, etc.)
