what's a good free program to edit and resize animated gifs?

don't quote me on this but I think that's pretty tough.

I've used "Thumbs" to try it and lost the animation.

I think you may need to start with the separate .gif's at 50x50 and compile them into the animation.

it would be sort nice to maybe get an upgrade on the avatar size.................
