Oh that guy. Changing peoples attitude toward kung fu by replacing large parts of it with fencing, boxing, TKD and Savate was a good thing.:p

you sure that wasn't box francais?

I thought that was what they called it after they adapted the english boxing into savate which had inferior punching techniques comparable to the english.

so they co-opted (the real theme here) the other style and created a new one for the french nobility.

:p

Answering the one who asked:
Bruce lee was the best kung fu fighter of all times, and after being a champion of martial arts training Ving Chun fist in Honk Kong he came to america - where he created the first american martial art of the world - Jeet Kuno Do - the way of the intercepting fist. He put this name since he created 2 techniques that intercepted any mans punch -> the one inch punch and the three inches punch.
Then he got into movies and the rest is history

Didn't he hook up his man-boobies to a car battery?

Not that I'm opposed to that, or anything. Just wondering.

Anyone every see the Japanese movie about Bruce Lee's life? It's been on Showtime all month. Basically, it's about how he cheats on his wife with this hot Chinese actress and bullies the studios to get her parts because he can't get enough of her. He's an @sshole, then he dies. Much better than Dragon: The BL Story.

that movie dragon totally blew.

I think it was his wife's over romanticized ideas of his life or something.

What is the name of the japanese movie? I'd be interested in seeing the darker retelling... and maybe not so much embellishment as was in the linda story of what she thought happened.

This sounds similar to "Bruce Lee: A Dragon Story", starring Bruce Li.

While Bruce Lee did many great things, the one thing he did that I did not like was make it virtually impossible to practice martial arts outdoors w/o passerbys making his bird sound at you!
