Does anybody know of any monkey forms On dvd or video out there? I'd really prefer empty hand to staff or spear. Monkey is, amazingly, one of the components of the village hung gar I'm learning, but my sifu didn't focus on that animal, so he's A little rusty and has only been able to show us several techniques, no forms. I'd like to learn a form and use those two together.

thanks

hung gar is southern
all the monkey forms i'm familiar with are northern
that being said,
you might want to investigate what martial arts mart (the online store here) has to offer.
you may also investigate tai shing pep kwar, i know they have video tapes of thier system...but i think if you do that you'll just get the basics of the basics and not real monkey , at least not for a while.
tai shing pep kwar (chan sau chung) is imo the best monkey system out there, but shaolin is pretty darn good as well..cause
well ,
it's shaolin.
good luck

the last one is a bit contraversial in some circles due to lineage issues.
