Spyware is keeping me from checking my emails. I can login, but as soon as I go to check any of my inboxes for my accounts, it switches to this infernal popup hell site crap disgusting make me kill thing.

I'm using adaware. What else can I do?

Also, what sort of idiot would buy spyware being advertised via spyware?

Sorry for the slow reply, but SpyBot is an excellent program for cleaning out spyware and ad ware. Or check out cnet.com for other free or share ware programs to rid yourself of the annoying bots.

This program is evil. It hijacks your home page, but doesn't display it's actual browser address, so you can't find who is responsible and introduce a large angry eel to their appropriate apertures. But I've taken care of it, all on my own, rugged individualism and all.

Nothing to see here.

As long as you use Internet Explorer and Outlook/OExpress, you will never be free of popups, spyware, and malware.

Also, be careful about applications that claim to remove spyware - many of them actually install more spyware themselves.

not sure why spybot would advertise -- it's friggin free. i'd almost guess the ads were by someone trying to sell versions of spybot. if so, ignore them and get the free thang. paying for **** sucks when you can get it without ****ing off the popo.

spybot search and destroy + adaware6.0 = goodness and do your windows updates regularly and turn off your QOS in your main connection file properties.

Then turn of the netsend service in your services and voila, Microsoft is good to go! :rolleyes: :p

The above is true and IE is getting to be a real pain...

You can always run a side of Netscape for when you're eally pizzed, or use another browser. They're all getting pretty decent now.

I've found that when your viewing porn...if you wear your tin-foil hat then the spybots think your Jiffypop and don't bother scanning your PC...then you can send your army of invisible ninjas to dispatch of the spybot-er

pr0n sites are a lot more likely to have spyware on em
you can get em either from cookie whatever or sometimes by clicking "yes" or "ok" to pages that pop up
