Getting all my **** together for legacy, picked up a cup and all they had were the **** athletic supporter style ones with the baseball cup sewn in.... Methinks it would be a wise idea that tigerclaw offered waist size with optional cup size...
The waist works, but dear god....
Its horribly uncomfortable in the area of the johnson. Im fallin all out the sides, and theres not really anywhere to buy the outside the pants ones right now... :(
I certainly cant take a kick to the junk with this one though...
Meatshake firmly disapproves of this product.

Before I got my last cup, I had a similar issue...

a pinch here, a pinch there, and my girl at the time thought I was into S&M w/ some other people...:D

I don't even know the name of the brand I got now, I'll look for it when before I see y'all in Tx.

Get a better cup at Taiji Legacy, or run over to Lang Son Trader's before the show and buy one.

Get some briefs a size or two smaller than you normally wear. Put those on, and wear the cup (just the cup) inside them. I've done that for years in competition and never had a problem with it moving or pinching.

I'm soooo glad you guys didn't bring this up with me when we were there. The last thing I need is forum members showing me their cups.

Is there a model that you guys have in mind? If you can show me a sample, I can show it to the powers that be here and see if we can start carrying it.

I think that's what he is talking about. The strap goes on the exterior of the body (but probably a quick modification and it could fit in the interior as well). I've seen them using it in some Wing Tsun training videos and it looked very effective and rather large.

Either that or start carring the steel Muay Thai cups. :)

Is that significantly different than this (http://www.martialartsmart.net/mensoutcupsu.html)?

I'm soooo tempted to recommend this (http://www.martialartsmart.net/femsoutsup14.html) instead. :p

I was going to suggest a peanut shell and and a rubberband, but, I figured I'd be nice.

Actually Gene, they are the exact same thing. And half the price.

Speaking of new products, have you guys thought about creating a MMA style glove? Kikskin (http://www.kikskinmartialarts.com/) has an impressive line of clothing. I own one of there shirts and use it for heavy workouts. They also have some nice gloves (which I need to get a pair of). You could design a glove and give it a different name that way its not a "grappling" glove or "MMA" glove. I'd been hoping Tiger Claw would make one, and then I'd buy it. I find them to be much better to use for training than traditional sparring or boxing gear.

What kind of quick modification? Wouldn't it hurt?
:D

You guys need to read this (http://martial.best.vwh.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=28656&) thread I started. It's about the same thing.

If you're not getting boxing-type protection, at least get one of those banana-shaped cups ... don't go cheep on this piece of equipment and go to a good sports store and try a few on. Don't buy a cup over the net unless you know exactly what you want.

You can also order a free Title catalog from Everlast.com.

Gene, here are a few "grappling" gloves. The Kikskin is the best I have ever had before, and I plan on buying one later (unless Tigerclaw makes one). This one is incredibly comfortable.

Kikskin MMA glove (http://www.kikskinmartialarts.com/valetudoglove.asp)
Offical UFC glove (http://sherdog.bigstep.com/item.jhtml;$sessionid$E2SQHNAAAAAQDTZENUGHBMWPERWR JPX0?UCIDs=894902%7C1125002&PRID=1280761)
Offical KotC glove (http://sherdog.bigstep.com/item.jhtml;$sessionid$E2SQHNAAAAAQDTZENUGHBMWPERWR JPX0?UCIDs=894902%7C1125002&PRID=1280763)
Century's Leather glove (http://www.centuryfitness.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&productId=10369&langId=-1&product_parentId=13521&crumb=13501-13519&categoryId=13521&parent_category_rn=13523)
Century's standard MMA glove (http://www.centuryfitness.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&productId=10372&langId=-1&product_parentId=13521&crumb=13501-13519&categoryId=13521&parent_category_rn=13523)

The best of the best that I have seen/felt/used would be the Kikskin though.

Here is the shirt I was also talking about. It's like the Under Armour shirts, but not as thin and easy to tear.

I'll bring it up at the next product development meeting. If there's interest, it'll take a while for us to develop a new product - probably long enough for you to wear out one of these other pairs of gloves. As an aside, we did manufacture Sports Jujitsu gloves (http://store.martialartsmart.net/10x300.html) - ofr those of you that remember, Sports Jujitsu was sort of a precursor to BJJ. I think it's still going in Canada, but it was pretty much eclipsed when UFC rose up.
