Hey guys,
I wanna know if it's possible to save a vcd to my hard drive. If so, how do i do this. I want to make a backup in case one of my vcds becomes corrupt, which has happened already. Thanx..
The ghetto way is just to copy the .dat files onto your hard disk - most media players will play them like that.
Or you can use a cd-burning utility to make backup images of the whole CD.
Or if you want to end up with MPEGs, then check out gnu vcdimager.

There should be a Folder called MPEGAV on the VCD. The .DAT files inside it are the movie files. Just copy them out, like Tak said.
If you want to be able to burn a new VCD later, copy the whole file structure from the VCD and save it as is.
