Lately, it seems like almost every thread degraes into personal, overly defensive verbal tennis matches. It's getting to be a drag. Don't get me wrong, I'm guilty too. It's been nearly impossible not to participate.

1. Read the thread before you reply. At least try to read it.

2. If you understand the intent of someone's post but the grammar or structure is bad, just let it go.

3. If you post some remarkable claim, of course people are going to want proof or may question you further. Try not to be so surprised.

4. Don't just retype or rephrase something someone has already said. If you can't offer any fresh insight, that's ok, you're still a good person.

5. If you're going to hijack a thread, hijack it with style.

6. Don't type like you talk. Casual conversational english doesn't work on an international forum. I'm not a hopeless poindexter in real life, I just type formally so my posts are clear.

7. This forum is full of happily caustic, jaded individuals who all happen to have a variety of martial knowledge and personal experience, interesting lives and unique perspectives. Everyone who posts here knows something you don't, martially or otherwise. Ok. Almost everyone.

did I forget anything?

oh yea.

8. Don't start a useless thread *****ing about other people's threads.

This kind of thread works better if you post a pic of yourself in a cheerleader outfit first.

Serpent

No, you're thinking of the pic of MasterKiller dressed as a cheerleader. That's most definitely for your eyes only. We're wanting the pic of Ming Yue.

No, but it explains the hair, round glasses, and the lightning bolt shaped scar on my forehead.

The sunglasses are just to conceal the fact that my eyes rotted out years ago. I navigate using the Force now.

i don't know what you're referring to

this is baloo:

and he's even doing the bear posture from bagua

rubthebuddha
09-01-2004, 02:44 PM
the same baloo (http://www.geocities.com/shawndogg1986/baloo.html) was also the main character in disney's later cartoon "tale spin."

you old ****. :D

Oso
09-01-2004, 03:00 PM
never heard of Talespin.

but this fits

Baloo is a lazy overweight gray shaggy bear who just likes to take it easy and relax.

but they forgot about the pie bit.

Bears love pie.

David Jamieson
