Jujitsu has had Ryu since the 1500's. And its predecessor, kumiuchi, since around 1200.

Either the artist that drew that picture has little grasp of what he was attempting to represent or that is the all-time crappiest armbar from the guard in history. Plus he got head slammed into the concrete midway between the first picture and the second because he didn't grab the leg while getting stacked. In fact the fact that his legs aren't closed around his opponent indicates he is falling to the ground about to land on his occipit.

Can you spell "knockout"? How about "quadriplegic"?
