Interesting article. No doubt there has been much deception and fraud associated with phenomenal acts attributed to chi gung practice.

On the other hand since the advent of Falun Gong and the antagonistic relationship between the Chinese government and the Falun Gong, any form of chi gong, credible or otherwise has fallen into disrepute in mainland China. In association with this is the Chinese governments strong atheistic position.

Odd how former president Nixon witnessed open heart surgery with only accupunture being used as an anesthetic. The Chinese were so proud of their knowledge of chi at that time. Why all of the sudden an about face?

Once again because of fear of a political threat another jewel from ancient China will be lost. Sad to see the Chinese government again supressing their own people

it's tough because alot of qigong teachers are talented but believe in weird stuff or are uninformed about science. Like when chen man ching thught the US got to the moon first because it was physically closer to the moon than China. Or like, I have one of Paul Dong (qimaster's teacher) books. It's a good intro to stake standing and other basicqigon, but he has other books about the kid who can read with his ear and aliens and stuff.
