Hmm...you noticed that? ;)
It was there when I came in this morning. I had no clue that was there. There are 2 BJJ instructors, a boxing instructor, a Japanese Jit-jitsu instructor, a Tae Kwon Do instructor, an Arnis instructor, an aerobics instructor, etc. at this facility. It could belong to anyone of them. I'm curious now. I'm asking about it tomorrow.

Hey Phil,

Hope all is well.

When you zoomed out and had the footwork showing on the lop sau counter, is it called a t-step with your right leg coming to the back that you did?

Also, was this a free-excercise or is this part of Cheung's 8-Cross Arm slips?

Just curious. Keep up the good clips!

Sincerely,
Kenton/Couch

Yes Kenton, that is the t step. Did you mean 8 count chi sau?
Look at the 8 count chi sau drill here;

Hey Michel, I found out that the mannequin (sp)? is for a Holloween party. There are a few more and they'll be clothed thank God.

Thanks! Those clips are awesome. Has GM Cheung's Chum Kiu form changed since that recording in 1984 that is on that website?

Also, I watched a "Calvin Chi Sau" clip. The instructor was saying to use forward intention and not to bounce. Could you elaborate on this? Does your kwoon use this principle and why? (A little more technical question - the fans like this. :)

I know that when I roll, we only give pressure when we reach the bon/tan/fok position. We tick-tock like a clock, where the tick is a small push forward, releasing the pressure slightly between the tock.

Thanks much,
Couch

PS, anyone else can elaborate on this too.

Hey couch,

>>Thanks! Those clips are awesome. Has GM Cheung's Chum Kiu form changed since that recording in 1984 that is on that website?<<

Yup, It's the same as in the clip.

>>Also, I watched a "Calvin Chi Sau" clip. The instructor was saying to use forward intention and not to bounce. Could you elaborate on this? Does your kwoon use this principle and why? (A little more technical question - the fans like this. <<

I meant forward energy and not to bounce up and down.

>>I know that when I roll, we only give pressure when we reach the bon/tan/fok position. We tick-tock like a clock, where the tick is a small push forward, releasing the pressure slightly between the tock.<<

Forward "intent" through the whole rolling cycle. Maybe a little more during the bong/fuk like you said.
