That's the guy who won in Japan.. Man that fight was great. He owned the japanese guy in all three rounds. (The j guy landed like one solid punch the whole second round)
The embarrasing thing was that the judges decided to let them fight a fourth round. That's so typical of japanese judges! What an embarrasment to the muay thai world they are. Well, the thai guy owned his ass in the fourth aswell.

K-1 != Muay Thai rules.

Buakaw, or whatever his name, is definitely a bad boy. The tactics the first Japanese guy was using ****ed him off pretty bad. After he had his leg chopped in a pretty malicious way, he gives the guy this I-am-going-to-kill-you-and-eat-your-children-like-Mike-Tyson look that they show in the clip. From that point, its a total wash. You can see Buakaw try to drop him on his arse at every moment to make a point.

Masato is a different story. Even if he were at his prime, I would still prolly give it to a ****ed off Buakaw, since he seems to have soo many weapons. Masato needs to decide if he wants to act or fight. Pick one and try to be the best. He had been #1 for so long, its understandable why he has become complacent.

Buakaw has no hands...... his kicks and knees WILL kill you tho... but his boxing lacks..... with that said.... other then John Wayne Parr... i can't see anyone beating him anytime soon.... i thought Kozo had a chance... but i didn't see that fight yet......

SunTzu...

I disagree that Buakaw has no hands. I agree that he rarely actually uses them, but the few times I have seen him use his hands, he has decent technique and a good amount of power. I just think that kicking is his strength so his strategy is based on using his hands to setup his kicks. And using his kicks to setup his kicks. And using his kicks to setup his knees....

And, I've heard through the grapevine that in Bangkok, he is actually known as an elbow specialist......

i've only really seen him "box" against Jordan Tai..... well he gave him a few good painful body shots........ i'll watch his fight against Masato tonight just to check....... but if i could kick like that... i wouldn't try to look like De La Hoya* in the ring anyway....

*the De La Hoya against Vargas that is....

I've heard through the grapevine that in Bangkok, he is actually known as an elbow specialist...... scary thot :eek:

JWP... i think has his number tho.... he out box the sh!t out of him... but he abandoned that game plan and tried to play by Buakaw's rules.... i would love to see them 2 go at it under full mT rules.....
