There are some legends.

Most seems to agree that Ba Gua is not created by one person.

And the steps and some moves are also "seen" in Daoist Wushu.

This is the general concensus.

Do not ask me to confirm any thing. This is what I heard, meaning it is legend or passed on by mouth or tell what was told.

the interesting thing about it is the part where DOng walks outside while his students were actually "sparring" something neglected sometimes today.

Don't try bringing up that one on an IMA board. "EVERYBODY" knows that Dong Hai Chuan created Baguazhang himself and that the existence of Bi Yuexia is just a legend......
