I grew up hearing debates. I was an active member, participant and even a judge in the debate clubs. I heard thousands of topics or categories of debate. From personal affairs, politics, religions, history, warfare, MA, science, medical research etc.

I only new to the internet forum on MA since March of this year.

Correct me If I am wrong. If you lose your arguement by the evidence, and reasoning of the obvious facts, and you still insist that you are right. It is a BS. If you are then "corrected" again with more evidence and reasoning, you still insist you are in the right. It is a troll.

From my years of bebating, I find that to accenuate the correct will gain more grounds than to present tons of negativitism (BS and troll).

If a poster wants to express his or her side of the story, I am always willing to hear the statements. I tend to find and focus on the positive side of the statements and use that to debate against him or her. (Accentuate the positive).

Why? because 2 negative to the same arguement will be positive. or Negative to the negative is the positive. People are more alert and comfortable with positive. Too much negativitism will become distasteful and outright offensive to all.

The negative BS and troll are not welcome anywhere.

On the other hand, the positive BS and positive troll are welcomed everywhere.

Yin and Yang of a debate is the Tai Ji dynamic of a war between positive and negative BS or trolls.

The biggest lesson in life and human spirits for me is to build.

My relative was a mechanic. He fixed from bikes, motorcycles, cars to refrigirator. My other relative is a carpenter. He builds and fixes many things.

Growing up in the 60's and the 70's.

China was in Culture Revolution. Destructions of 4 olds, tearing down the Great Walls, all the temples, banishing the teachers to the country side, schools closed. More Chinese died of hunger during this period than during Japanese invasion in WWII.

US was involved in Vietnam. I read the papers and watched the TV. Peace march in US.

There were so many destructions everywhere. The buildup of atomic weapons between the Russia and US.

My relatives served in the services told memories of suffering and surviving wars in China.

I was much troubled. Then I started to see the other side of the story. The building side.

When a chair is broken, one side would think to destroy for there is no further use of it. My relative would think how to fix it. A broken leg, no problem, buy or make a replacement and fix it.

When one sees a chair with a broken leg, while my relative sees is the other 3 good legs and good seat with good back.

Both A and B are actually relishing the day time brought on by the Sun. The only difference is the position they perceive. A is happy at the start of the day. B is sad that the day will end.

The truth in life is like that. It reveals to people. Different people may perceive the truth at different angles. And have different perceptions.

SPJ pointed to the truth in a way both A and B may agree on. The excitement of seeing the early morning Sun, and the beauty and the last warmth of a setting Sun.

Any debate on a topic works the same way. Being a good debater and a judge make me do a lot of pointing to the truth.

SPJ - there was sincereity and honesty in my posting this thread. Both bl and Ego would continually insist that they were not both using the same account. It was insulting to everyone's intelligence. I posted this to point out that no one believed them. As you can see, there was just one vote for them and that would have been from the Ego account.

I gave the option of saying that yes, Michelle was using that account and I also gave an option for to people to suggest a banning as well. I even gave an "I don't know" option for those that didn't want to affect things but did want to have a voice. (And for those that didn't know, obviously! ;) )

The people voted, the mods made their decisions. This is a community and sometimes the community needs to be heard.

Personally, I don't believe in censorship of any kind. A public admission from them both that they were both using that account would have done for me. But the votes speak volumes.

Don't worry - they'll both be back before long under different usernames. Do you think for a second that you won't be able to spot them?

Your Chan approach to everything is all very well, but no matter how much compassion and understanding you try to live by, there are always going to be people that will only understand a good, solid arse-kicking.

Personally, I didn't have any problem with Ego, but several others did, enough so to flood my PM and emails with ban requests. Not that this is the way to get someone banned (it's easier to get yourself banned this way) but it does make us take notice. The BL situation was convoluted and after BL was banned, Ego was asked not to post anything "BL" by me personally just before I left for China. Upon my return, not only was there a BL related post, there were requests from two moderators to ban Ego. That's an overwhelming case.
