This is a thread devoted to business sides of San Da and TCMA.

Please discuss business only. No philosophical bickering.

The sayings:

Think big to grow. (Da Er Ruon Zi)

Think open to flourish. (Da Er Hua Zi)

These are old Chinese sayings I was given. When we first started a MA school over 10 years ago.

My business experience in MA;

We first started a MA school in Pan Chiao, Taiwan in late '80.

We were teaching Tai Ji Push Hands and Tai Ji Qin Na. A pure TCMA school.

Per request. We later added Tai Ji Qi Gong classes.

Qi Gong was so popular. We stopped Push Hands and Qin Na classes.

But, we still wanted to teach the MA aspects of the art.

Eventually we closed the school. I moved to the states.

Our business model was widely copied or popular.

If you go to any Tai Ji schools. The courses will include, form, push hands, Qin Na and Qi Gong.

The business idea of San Da as originally intended.

They set some rules so that all styles of TCMA may compete on the same "level".

San Da is only a set of rules.

Where you get the fighters? All schools.

You may include every school: TKD, MMA, Mantis, karate, Aikido, JJJ on and on.

You may send the rules to all schools and explain the rules.

San Da may grow into the biggest MA organization in the world by including everyone.

Think big to grow.

Think open to flourish.

The success story of Tang Lang.

Tang Lang is open to everybody in Northern China.

It is the most popular and most successful MA in China.

If you have Gou Luo Cai Gua San Chan Teng No, you are Mantis.

Not only it has 18 Jia's. Mantis signed up just about every school in Northern China.

You may teach different style but if you include some 8 features, you are Tang Lang, too.

All of a sudden, every school is teaching Tang Lang.

Think big to grow.

Think open to flourish.

If San Da people send the rule script to all schools including TCMA.

If TCMA schools include a course for San Da training.

San Da will never run out of fighters.

If some one starts on San Da, after a while, he or she said I am done with the ring, he or she wants to persue style specific arts.

There will be a big pool of former San Da practitioners for TCMA schools.

So let us grow business, people.

Now, the main point of the thread.

Will San Da people shake hands with Mantis people and do business together?

Phew, I done my part.

:D

One example on the religion side.

Chan Buddhism is the most popular religion in the world.

Why? It opens and includes everyone.

How? There is no doctrine.

Only a set of rules; 4 truth and some paths. (Buddha dharma)

Even that is not final. Because you may have more than one dharma.

The religion may be said in one sentence.

To seek the truth in life and see every thing in the light (enlightenment).

No rituals. Even the meditation is not needed (highest level).

Is there any other religion that is as simple or as inclusive as this?

The truth is the religion.

Are you expecting replies here, or are you just having a conversation with yourself? ;)

I've been trying to tell Ross this for ages, but it shakes his paradigm so he won't accept it.

the issue isn't about san da accepting everyone else...... it's everyone else accepting san da......promoters don't know what san da is about.... some may have heard of it but don't or can't put a match on their cards.... be it because thay don't have qualified judges and refs or they are just too MMA and mT biased to even try.....
