I'm going to start training again after about a 2 1/2 month lay off. I've done no cardio, no bagwork, no nothing the whole time. I pretty much sat around in a depression drinking too much and smoking too many blunts.

I'm slow and lazy, I have no cardio, and my lungs are scorched. In addition, my coach is training for the Ironheart in November, and when he trains for a fight, we ALL train for a fight.

Man, I'm gonna go through Hell tonight. Everyone's gonna take advantage and whoop on me and then laugh about it :(

I know how you feel. ive been delaying going to training for the same reasons. its getting too long now so its sunday for certain.

Honestly dude, if this is your first day back, id suggest taking it a little easy. I was sick for one month (august) and when I came back it was like I hadnt trained for a year. And I didnt smoke any blunts (but plenty from the ol pipe ;) ) and I didnt drink at all. Your cardio will have gone WAAAAY down hill.

Yeah, I grew up in the streets too. I'm still there, but I'm not talking about how hard I am. I'm a grown man. I'm past all that. I don't need to prove myself.

I'm talking about things like getting involved in the political process to take down a Machine. I'm talking about volunteering my time with the youth to keep them off the streets. Help them avoid the same mistakes I made. I'm talking about trying to use my education and experience to make life a little brighter for the people.

On that note however we got a guy in from another of our schools a couple of weeks ago. He has more experience then our own instructor and so has been leading the classes for a the last two weeks and he's kicking our asses! I've come home from every class in the past two weeks feeling pretty beat up myself!

Well, I didn't get beat on as bad as I thought I would have. We ended up doing Pad Work for most of the class. Miguel was running the class and told me to go get my Thai Pads so Juan and I could work together. I asked him what he wanted us to do, he said, "Whatever you guys want, just go for 3 minute rounds."

Did a lot of kicks, did some knee drills (Ouch) and combos. Did some ab work in between. Trained for about 2 hours. I didn't really do BJJ last night, I went out with some people instead, but I got in a round of wreslting before I left.

I showed up and the first thing I noticed was that the Women's class had grown. Usually the women and a few guys have cardio-kickboxing while we train right next to them. There were about 5-6 that were looking fine. This one little hootchie must have been about 19-20. She was weraing a half shirt and some real tight spandex with this big ol Dooker just bouncing around. I was staring at her ass all night, blatently staring. Then she gets ready and leaves and I realize her boyfriend was watching her (and probably watching me watching her) the whole time. Embarrassing.
