1. Spar/fight-> make friends -> have a beer.
2. Make friends -> have a beer -> spar/fight.

IMO,the second alternative could provide for more relaxed sparring....Depending on the amount of beer taken...;)

the first one, but we'd have to go for smoothies instead of beer...

Once you make friends then sparring and fighting doesn't quite have the same fear factor and hence may not be as useful. On the other hand maybe one's performance is better with the beer and friends approach so that you are able to function better with what you know. I am not a beer drinker either but substituting a milkshake just doesn't seem like the same thing.

Not my usual, but I'd opt for rum and cigars before beer. :D

In any order or combination thereof.

Make friends > train > socialize > spar > make friends > spar > socialize .........

It doesn't matter which one you start with or end with, just that those elements are there.

I think option number 2 is a pretty good training method. I figure you are most likely to get into a fight when you are drunk... So make sure you train drunk because we all know that you should train like you fight. :D

I like option 3
Stay home with friends, BBQ in the backyard and a few drinks.

I get paranoid if I drink too much in a bar.
